A trip to Inverloch

What a fun-filled few days we’ve just had in the little seaside Victorian town of Inverloch. We stayed at the Big 4 caravan park which was in a fantastic location just a stone’s throw from the water with bountiful drift wood to keep the kids busy making forts. Well that’s when they’d actually let us leave the caravan park… it was kid paradise there. A splash park, indoor pool, pump track, jumping pillow, tennis court, playground and games room with ping pong and air hockey tables. Thank goodness we had a few days to do everything! When we weren’t busy at the caravan park we snuck into town a couple of times to raid the delicious bakery (called Paul the Pieman) and fill up on sausage rolls and giant wagon wheel biscuits. That’s when we also went to ‘The Caves’, a rocky, rugged beach known to house fossils with little rockpools a-plenty. This was so much fun. The kids loved clambering over the rocks and trying to climb the steeper parts. We will definitely be coming back here when it’s warmer to have a swim! Oh and I should also mention that we drove through Bena and Kongwak and the scenery was utterly breathtaking. Rolling green pastures everywhere you look.
