What better way to end the school holidays than four beautiful days at Walkerville, a sleepy little seaside town and home to ‘Magic Beach’, made famous by the children’s book by Alison Lester. We were lucky enough to camp with a whole bunch of friends so we hardly saw the big kids… they rode endless kilometres on their bikes between each other’s camp sites, the playground and the ‘climbing tree’. Does that not sound like childhood paradise!?

We stopped for fish and chips in San Remo at the San Remo Fisherman’s Co-Op on the way home then went to look at all the fishing vessels in the marina.

And last but not least a delicious icecream from San Remo to end our holiday!
