Magic Beach

What better way to end the school holidays than four beautiful days at Walkerville, a sleepy little seaside town and home to ‘Magic Beach’, made famous by the children’s book by Alison Lester. We were lucky enough to camp with a whole bunch of friends so we hardly saw the big kids… they rode endless kilometres on their bikes between each other’s camp sites, the playground and the ‘climbing tree’. Does that not sound like childhood paradise!?

Not a bad little spot to call home for a few days.

A gorgeous wooden boat at Magic Beach.

The ‘Climbing Tree’.

A trip to Sandy Point. What a cute little town… definitely coming back here to stay!

One of the many windows to the beach all along the caravan park.

Sunset and Rosé, my favourite part of the day!

Beach time with little friends!

Some awesome waves at Sandy Point.

And plenty of dunes at Sandy Point too!

Cape Liptrap lighthouse on the way back from Magic Beach.

Wild and windy walk to the lighthouse.

Wombats, wallabies and beautiful Rosellas around the caravan park.

The kids found an awesome dirt track.

Sunset rockpooling.

Lots of ocean treasure right on our doorstep.

We stopped for fish and chips in San Remo at the San Remo Fisherman’s Co-Op on the way home then went to look at all the fishing vessels in the marina.

And last but not least a delicious icecream from San Remo to end our holiday!
