Two CUTE Nights at qtQT, Gold Coast

Okay, so I was travelling recently for work and booked a room at QT Gold Coast. A very lovely but pretty regular looking hotel room. What I didn’t expect was to be offered an upgrade to qtQT… their new tiny house/cabin experience. I said yes because why the heck not. I was travelling alone and figured I had nothing to lose. They let me know that to heighten the unplugged and relaxing experience, there was no TV, but I had a few books packed and early nights planned, so that wasn’t going to be a problem.

No. 4 – My cabin!

Wow, oh wow, is all I have to say. You get to share a huge stunning courtyard with just a few other cabins. The whole level to ourselves. Every evening at sunset, the staff bring you an antipasto platter and a spritz… to wherever you are – cabin deck, lounges in the sunny courtyard, by the fire pit… you get the idea. Then they have a ‘turn down’ service where they bring you a pot of tea and chocolates at 7pm. EXCUSE ME?! Heaven!

It was the most lush experience, and I’ll definitely be returning to experience this with my husband. You can still get room service and all the usual hotel things, but you’re in a little cabin on the open deck of level 2. In the cabin are yummy treats you can help yourself to as well as a beautiful tiny bathroom with big rainfall shower, comfy bed, little couch, coffee machine, mini bar and robes to lounge around in. I’ll share some photos…

A post morning walk cuppa at the cafe in the QT lobby

First light on my morning walk 🌅

On my free afternoon while on the GC, I drove to Burleigh Heads to walk down the main street and along the beach. I didn’t have time for a walk around the Burleigh Heads National Park this time, but I highly recommend that walk!! It’s beautiful. I also got up early and walked to the beach to watch the sunrise like so many people do up here. Aside from that, I just enjoyed the hotel when i wasn’t on work visits. It was mighty hard to leave.

Thanks for having me QT Gold Coast. I’ll be back!
