I only wanted one thing for my fortieth birthday… to wake up somewhere warm. My birthday is in the middle of winter, so it’s a novelty being warm on the day. My wish was granted, and we headed North for a weekend at the most beautiful hotel, The Ardo in Townsville. What a treat. Newly renovated to perfection and with the bonus of being able to use the neighbouring facilities at The Ville (where we were for my birthday last year… I’m sensing a pattern and I like it!). Tropical birthdays from here on in!!
