I usually say no to photographing weddings because there are too many stressful variables, but I was finally convinced to say yes for some old, very special friends.

Storms and sunshine were predicted, neither of which are a photographer’s friend so I was feeling a little nervous. Turns out the weather gods were looking out for us and it was a perfectly warm and overcast day and in the most stunning setting at the family home where I spent a lot of time as a teenager so I felt right at home shooting.

It was the most beautiful, genuinely heartfelt ceremony. I shed tears several times throughout the day. I’m so happy for Tom and Maddy and it was such an honour to play a tiny part in their special day.
